Write a Story/ Poem using Prompt Theme – AFTER SUNSET

How are you all today ? 🙂

This is my 4th Miracle Challenge entry for this week. And, here it goes 😉

Entering into the room,

He turned ON the lights for a fake Moon

The darkness in the New Moon corner

Perfect for a Candlelit dinner

Singing a Happy Birthday song

For me, he continued a bit long

“Oh dear ! My gorgeous Nightlife

Cut the cake with this ribbon decorated knife

The surprise you are in, you may be knowing

Since past two years, we are celebrating

Something new

Something you will love

Something special

Something you asked with a zeal

Oops ! I did that again

But, today you are for a gain

I wish for my mouth seal

But, I’m sorry for the reveal

Baby ! Close your eyes for a second

And give me your right hand”

I laughed within my mind

For his mistake about the wrong hand

I smiled and closed my eyes

For I understood, there won’t be any lies

Closing my eyes, my darkness

Travelled for my asked and his fake promises

My poor little heart

Waited for this day for a magical start

Navigating my left hand forward in the air

I day dreamed for a Diamond Ring to hug my finger 

Something like a cardboard, i felt

All my sweet thoughts met a halt

His Words good enough to kill me alive

He expressed his surprise invite

“Here is my Invitation

For my wedding, do come for a celebration”
